I do however find myself staring at it way too much and suddenly realising that I’ve lost time!
I’m easily distracted at the best of times! 😆
I have been feeling secretly frustrated with sharing my ‘work’ table with the family, as every time we need to eat, the whole project needs to be packed away first. My solution to the problem? A design wall! I can easily pin and unpin my project pieces when needed and it is up out of little fingers way! Why oh why did I not do this years ago?! Lesson learned ha!
So, I’ve been experimenting a bit with framing this star and I think it is working out quite well. The black border just sets its off , I feel anyway 😄 What do you think?
So, I haven’t been able to carry on with my quilting the last couple of days as I’ve had a few other things on the go. Feeling a little frustrated. When I get the urge to do anything I feel like I need to hammer at it until it is done, or I may lose interest and end up with another UFO (unfinished object!) I have a few of them. I tend to bore easily and jump from project to project to keep it interesting, but this is not always a good idea as I end up with a wad of unfinished projects that I then have to finish months (and sometimes years) later, ha! 😅 I’m also debating whether or not to enter a quilt into one of the upcoming quilting competitions this year. I have been promising myself for years that I would do it and then just let it slide by. I am determined, however, to be super productive this year, pull my finger out and give it a go. What’s the worst that could happen? I get declined and then try harder next year. I never give up unless I am 100% sure it is a lost cause. Hopefully I will be able to grab a few minutes of quilt time over the weekend in between shifts. Working all weekend, which is a good thing, as it funds my crafting habit haha! 😄
